Sales Manager (STP Projects)

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Manager to drive business development and revenue growth for Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Wastewater Treatment Solutions. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, preparing techno-commercial proposals, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets across industrial, commercial, municipal, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities for STP, ETP, and wastewater treatment projects.
Generate leads through market research, networking, referrals, and cold calling.
Build relationships with builders, developers, architects, consultants, industries, government bodies, and EPC contractors.
Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical presentations to understand customer requirements.
Techno-Commercial Sales
Promote wastewater treatment technologies including MBBR, SBR, MBR, ASP, and related treatment solutions.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, cost estimates, and tender documents.
Coordinate with engineering and design teams to develop customized technical solutions.
Tender & Proposal Management
Identify relevant government and private tenders.
Prepare and submit tender documents within deadlines.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and contractual requirements.
Negotiation & Revenue Generation
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and payment schedules.
Close sales deals while achieving monthly and annual revenue targets.
Develop sales strategies to expand market presence.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients.
Promote Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), plant upgrades, retrofit solutions, and spare parts sales.
Resolve customer queries and coordinate with execution teams for successful project delivery.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with design, engineering, procurement, and project execution teams.
Ensure smooth communication between clients and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
Sales Reporting
Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline.
Prepare sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and competitor analysis.
Track sales performance against assigned targets.
Required Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
MBA in Marketing or Sales will be an added advantage.
Experience
3–10 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, preferably in STP, ETP, WTP, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or environmental engineering solutions.
Technical Knowledge
Basic understanding of wastewater treatment technologies including MBBR, SBR, MBR, ASP.
Knowledge of water quality parameters such as BOD, COD, TDS, TSS, and pH.
Familiarity with tendering processes, techno-commercial proposals, and project costing.
