R3 Consultant is looking for an experienced medical coding leader to manage end-to-end medical coding and denial management operations. The role requires strong expertise in coding compliance, quality management, client relationships, team leadership and operational strategy. The candidate will be responsible for improving service quality, operational efficiency and client satisfaction while managing large-scale coding teams. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end medical coding and denial management operations across multiple specialties. Ensure accurate application of ICD-10, E&M, pathology and laboratory coding guidelines. Manage coding quality, audits, pre-adjudication workflows and denial resolution. Lead start-up, transition and process improvement initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providers and internal stakeholders. Handle client escalations and provide effective operational solutions. Develop coding frameworks, SOPs and quality improvement programs. Establish feedback systems between quality, training and operations teams. Monitor team performance, productivity, quality and client satisfaction. Drive employee engagement and attrition-control initiatives. Ensure teams remain updated on payer policies, coding guidelines and reimbursement changes. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business ROI Required Skills Strong knowledge of medical coding and healthcare revenue cycle processes. Expertise in ICD-10, E&M, Pathology and Laboratory coding. Experience in coding audits and quality management. Strong understanding of denial management and pre-adjudication processes. Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills. Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Experience in team building, training and performance management. Knowledge of current payer policies and reimbursement practices. Eligibility Active CPC, CCS or equivalent medical coding certification. 15+ years of overall medical coding experience. Experience in coding audits, workflow design and denial management. Candidates should have experience in a senior leadership role. Current Vice President/Director experience of 3.5+ years or Senior Director experience of 1.5+ years preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and physicians.
