Job Description

Shantha Ventures is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to design, analyze, and supervise structural engineering projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in structural design software, building codes, and construction practices while ensuring quality, safety, and project compliance. Key Responsibilities Structural Design & Engineering Design structural systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Perform structural analysis and calculations for foundations, beams, columns, slabs, retaining walls, and steel structures. Prepare structural drawings, design reports, and engineering documentation. Ensure structural designs comply with applicable IS Codes, NBC guidelines, and client specifications. Project Coordination Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Review architectural and engineering drawings and recommend suitable structural solutions. Participate in technical discussions, planning meetings, and project reviews. Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning. Site Supervision Conduct regular site inspections to verify construction quality and adherence to approved structural drawings. Monitor reinforcement, concreting, structural steel works, and foundation activities. Identify structural issues during execution and recommend effective solutions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on-site. Documentation & Quality Control Prepare and review structural calculations, BOQs, technical reports, and project documentation. Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals. Verify material testing reports and ensure quality control throughout construction. Maintain accurate project records and engineering documentation. Risk Assessment & Technical Support Evaluate structural risks and recommend preventive or corrective measures. Investigate structural defects and provide engineering solutions. Support renovation, retrofitting, rehabilitation, and strengthening projects. Provide technical guidance during project execution. Client Communication Present structural design concepts and engineering solutions to clients. Provide technical clarifications and project updates. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery. Required Skills Structural Analysis & Design AutoCAD STAAD.Pro ETABS SAFE SAP2000 Revit Structure ETAP MS Office BOQ Preparation Project Coordination Technical Report Writing Knowledge of IS Codes & NBC Guidelines Problem Solving & Analytical Skills Qualifications M.Tech or Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with relevant structural engineering experience may also be considered. Professional certifications will be an added advantage. Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in structural engineering, design, or construction projects. Preferred Candidate Profile Strong understanding of RCC and steel structure design. Hands-on experience with structural analysis and design software. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality standards. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to engineering excellence and safety.
