Service Engineer (Solar PV Systems)

Job Description

Geie Solar Products is looking for an experienced Service Engineer with strong expertise in Solar PV systems. The candidate will be responsible for solar system installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, customer support, and technical service activities across India. The ideal candidate should have hands-on field experience, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel for project and service requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and servicing of Solar PV systems. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for solar equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance of solar plants. Diagnose and resolve issues related to solar panels, inverters, wiring, and electrical systems. Handle customer queries and provide effective technical solutions. Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and site visit documentation. Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors for smooth service operations. Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality procedures at project sites. Travel across PAN India for installation and service activities. Required Skills Solar PV System Installation Service Engineering Field Service Management Electrical Troubleshooting Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance Customer Handling Technical Support Solar Inverter Maintenance Commissioning & Testing Qualification B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, or related field. Diploma candidates with relevant solar service experience may also be considered. Experience 3–8 years of experience in Solar PV systems, electrical service, installation, commissioning, or field maintenance. Minimum 4 years of hands-on solar field experience preferred. Candidate Profile Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical components. Good communication and customer management skills. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. Willingness to travel across PAN India. Knowledge of Hindi and English preferred.
