Senior Design Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Senior Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing sheet metal and fabricated components, creating manufacturing drawings, and developing product assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Experience in the lighting or electrical manufacturing industry will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Design and develop sheet metal, mild steel (MS), and fabricated products. Create 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Develop assembly drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical documentation. Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing and assembly. Improve existing product designs for cost optimization and manufacturability. Support prototype development, testing, and design validation. Ensure engineering drawings comply with manufacturing standards and quality requirements. Work closely with procurement, production, and quality teams during product development. Resolve design-related issues during manufacturing. Maintain engineering documentation and revision control. Required Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in product design or manufacturing engineering. Experience in sheet metal, MS fabrication, or steel product design is mandatory. Experience in the lighting or electrical manufacturing industry will be preferred.
