QA Lab Chemist – Night Shift

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Lab Chemist to manage quality testing and laboratory activities during the night shift at our packaged drinking water plant. The candidate will be responsible for testing, documentation, batch quality decisions, and maintaining compliance with food and water quality standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct chemical and microbiological testing of raw water, process water, and finished products. Perform in-process checks including pH, TDS, ozone, residual chlorine, fill volume, cap torque, seal integrity, and leak testing. Review test results and take appropriate batch hold or release decisions. Maintain laboratory records, shift logs, online reports, and batch traceability. Inspect incoming materials such as preforms, caps, labels, cartons, and shrink film. Maintain laboratory reagents, media, glassware, standards, and equipment calibration records. Support FSSAI, BIS (IS 14543), ISO documentation, audits, and inspections. Monitor plant hygiene, CIP, and sanitation activities. Prepare proper shift handover reports for the day QA team. Requirements B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, or related discipline. 1–3 years of experience in FMCG, packaged drinking water, beverages, dairy, or food processing preferred. Good knowledge of laboratory testing and quality documentation. Ability to work independently during the night shift. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word. Good documentation and analytical skills.
