Operations Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Specialist (Documentation Executive) to support logistics and supply chain operations. The role involves shipment tracking, documentation validation, transport planning, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth freight operations across Air, Sea, and Road transport modes. Key Responsibilities Validate, verify, and store shipping and logistics documents accurately Track and trace shipments (Air, Sea, and Road) to ensure timely updates and visibility Monitor deviations, delays, and escalations, and take proactive corrective actions Coordinate with logistics service providers (LSPs), carriers, and internal teams for shipment planning and execution Support transport planning, forecasting, and order shipment scheduling Ensure adherence to company SOPs, Kuehne + Nagel guidelines, and business process mapping (BPM) standards Maintain and update shipment status in internal systems regularly Identify process improvement opportunities and share productivity enhancement ideas Support day-to-day operational reporting and documentation control Required Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of Supply Chain & Logistics Operations Experience in Export Documentation, Freight Forwarding, or Shipment Coordination Knowledge of Air Freight, Sea Freight, and Road Transport processes Proficiency in MS Excel (data handling, tracking, reporting) Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to handle escalations and work under tight deadlines Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Educational Qualification MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management / Operations / Logistics preferred Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree with logistics experience may also be considered Company Overview Kuehne + Nagel is one of the world’s leading logistics and supply chain companies, headquartered in Switzerland.
