Design Engineer

Job Description

Fab Tech is looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in fabrication and sheet metal design. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, capable of creating accurate fabrication drawings, preparing BOMs, and supporting production with high-quality engineering designs Key Responsibilities Create 2D and 3D fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Design sheet metal components, including shearing, bending, folding, and development. Prepare detailed fabrication and production drawings. Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate material requirements. Prepare quotations based on engineering drawings and BOM. Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure design accuracy. Maintain design documentation and engineering records. Use Microsoft Excel for estimation, costing, and reporting Required Skills Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Experience in fabrication drawing preparation. Knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes. Understanding of BOM preparation and material estimation. Good Microsoft Excel skills.
