CPC Certified Medical Coder

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated CPC Certified Medical Coder to join our Medical Coding team. This opportunity is ideal for freshers with CPC certification and a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and US healthcare processes. Review patient medical records, clinical documentation, and healthcare reports to identify diagnoses, procedures, and services. Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documented clinical information. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with established industry standards, payer requirements, and healthcare regulations. Maintain defined productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks. Identify documentation gaps, coding errors, and discrepancies and escalate them appropriately. Participate in internal coding audits and quality improvement initiatives. Stay updated with changes in medical coding guidelines, regulations, and industry practices. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve coding-related queries and ensure accurate claim processing. Maintain confidentiality and follow organizational policies related to patient information and healthcare data. Required Skills Valid CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification. Good knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation. Familiarity with US healthcare, insurance, and medical billing processes. Basic knowledge of EMR/EHR systems. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet productivity and quality targets. Education B.Sc. in Life Sciences or a related field. Any graduate with relevant medical coding training/certification may be considered. Preferred Profile Freshers with CPC certification are encouraged to apply. Internship or formal training in medical coding will be an advantage. Candidates with a strong interest in US healthcare and medical coding are preferred.
