AutoCAD Draughtsman / Design Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draughtsman / Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering drawings, manufacturing blueprints, and technical documentation for pneumatic process control instruments, industrial valves, and automation systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative industrial products while collaborating closely with design, production, and quality teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed 2D fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly drawings using AutoCAD. Create component layouts and technical drawings for pneumatic process control instruments and valves. Assist the engineering team in the design and development of control valves, air filter regulators, and pneumatic systems. Develop and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for manufacturing. Modify and update engineering drawings based on production requirements and customer feedback. Ensure all drawings comply with industrial engineering standards and company design guidelines. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams). Coordinate with production and quality departments to resolve drawing-related issues during manufacturing. Maintain proper documentation and revision history of engineering drawings. Required Skills Strong expertise in AutoCAD (2D Mandatory, 3D Preferred) Knowledge of SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor will be an added advantage. Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts including: Limits & Fits GD&T Tolerances Mechanical Materials Ability to prepare manufacturing and assembly drawings. Good knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and technical accuracy. Preferred Candidate Profile Experience in Mechanical Design or Industrial Product Design Exposure to Pneumatic Systems, Control Valves, or Process Instrumentation Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional engineering team.
