Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage all financial transactions for our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will handle daily bookkeeping, inventory accounting for raw materials, and ensure compliance with GST and Income Tax regulations. You will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our Sparrow brand operations. Key Responsibilities Daily Bookkeeping: Manage all accounting transactions, including journal entries, bank deposits, and cash flow. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Reconcile accounts with vendors and customers, ensuring timely Supplier Payments and receipt follow-ups. Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting: Track raw material costs, maintain the Fixed Asset Register, and perform month-end inventory reconciliations. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and assist in annual tax audits. Financial Reporting: Generate monthly and quarterly P&L statements and balance sheets for management review. Payroll: Coordinate with HR for accurate disbursement of salaries and related compliance. Requirements & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Software: Proficiency in Tally Prime or Zoho Books is essential. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables) and GST/TDS filing procedures. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with external auditors and management.
